Tether – Motion Tracking Plugin for Premiere Pro

Make titles, stickers and graphics follow a moving object in your video, right inside Adobe Premiere Pro. No After Effects. No Dynamic Link. No switching apps.

Tether is a small panel for Premiere Pro. You draw a box around the object, Tether tracks it, and your graphic moves with it, frame by frame.

How it works

1. Pick the object. Select your clip, click Load clip, zoom in and drag a box around the object.
2. Track. Click Track whole clip. Tether follows the object through the clip while Premiere stays responsive.
3. Attach. Select your title or graphic and click Attach. Tether writes the keyframes for you.

Why editors use it

• Skip the After Effects round-trip. No replacing clips with comps, no waiting for After Effects to open, no Dynamic Link lag.
• Zoom to pinpoint. Scroll to zoom up to 12× so the box sits exactly where you want it.
• Starts from your Object Mask. Already selected the object with Premiere's Object Mask tool? Tether reuses that selection box.
• Position, Scale and Rotation. Follow just the movement, or the size and angle too.
• Stabilize. Lock a shaky object in place on screen with one click.
• Any footage. iPhone HEVC, ProRes, H.264, 4K and vertical video.
• Clean keyframes. Written onto Motion or a Transform effect, so you can adjust them like any other keyframes.

FAQ

Do I need After Effects?
No. Everything happens inside Premiere Pro.

Does it work on Mac?
The current version is for Windows. Contact us if you need macOS.

What tracks best?
Objects with some detail: text, edges, logos, patterns. If an object leaves the frame or is heavily blurred, draw a new box from that point and track again.

How do I install it?
Close Premiere, run the included installer, then open Window → Extensions → Tether – Track to Motion. The built-in tutorials walk you through the rest.
